For students who already know how to play, Chess Tactics will help you improve your fighting ability. The course will divide equally into the middlegame and endgame. “Chess is 99% tactics”. With a chess.com tactics rating over 3200, our coach will show you the right way to train your pattern recognition and calculation skill. The topics are listed below (May adjust depending on students level). Each lesson comes with homework, which will be reviewed the next class. Online tournaments will be arranged among all the students. 1. Review/Test 2. Targets of Attack 3. Double Attack - Queen 4. Double Attack - Knight, and other Pieces 5. The Pin and Skewer (Intermediate level) 6. Remove the Defender 7. Discovered Attack (Intermediate level) 8. Discovered and Double Check 9. Mate with Queen/Rook(s) 10. Back Rank Mate 11. Smothered Mate 12. Defending against Mate 13. Promotion and Pawn Breakthrough 14. Square Rule and King Pawn Endgame 15.
